Deep groove ball bearings have a very wide range of applications. They are suitable for high and ultra-high speeds, accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions, and require almost no maintenance. Deep groove ball bearings come in two types: single row and double row. The structure of deep groove ball bearings also includes sealed and open types. Open type means the bearing does not have a sealing structure. Sealed deep groove ball bearings are divided into dust-proof seals and oil-proof seals. Dust-proof seals are made of stamped steel plates and simply prevent dust from entering the bearing raceway. Oil-proof seals are contact-type oil seals that effectively prevent the leakage of grease from inside the bearing.

Deep groove ball bearings primarily withstand radial loads, but can also simultaneously handle radial and axial loads. When bearing only radial loads, the contact angle is zero. When deep groove ball bearings have a large radial clearance, they exhibit the characteristics of angular contact bearings and can withstand significant axial loads. Deep groove ball bearings have a very low friction coefficient and a high limiting speed.
